Martin Green House at 44 Moore Ave., Worcester, MA completed!

The Queen Anne Victorian at the corner of Pleasant St. and Moore Ave in Worcester was built by and for Martin Green is the jewel of the cities' west side. Green, who Green Hill park is named after, built the house in 1908 as his "farm" house. More of a manor house than farm house, Green's home or rather property two years previous acquired and moved the carriage house to the rear from across Pleasant St on a parcel located at the foot of the hill side road, Moreland St. It has been the home to the cities Mayor and now to residents who are restoring the exterior cedar shake shingles, painted a slate grey/blue. In the recent past this siding was hidden beneath white siding. It can now "breath" the fresh New England air as it was intended to.
