Mr. Green's Queen Anne Victorian on Pleasant St and Moore Ave is my latest labor!
This Queen Anne Victorian built in 1908 by a member of the Green family known for among other things Green Hill Park in Worcester is my next painting challenge. Later on, Worcester's Mayor Israel Katz lived here and when he wanted to sell it he wanted the city to buy it and use it as a library. When they decided not to agree to his wishes it was eventually sold to someone else. It was recently bought in 2008 and brought back to its former beauty when the new owners removed the aluminum siding. The wood shingles were in good shape so only the trim had to be added. The large elm tree on the right looks to be as old if not older than the house. It will be a great project.
